Press start while playing the game and enter Circle, X, Right, Let, Right, Left, Down, Down, Up, Up. You should hear a sound.

Exchange 1/2 a life for five seconds of time

Do the same as above, except enter Up, Up, Down, Down Left, Right, Left, Right, X, Circle. You'll hear a sound.
